Pastor Chet Lowe is the Lead Pastor of Coast Hills Community Church in Aliso Viejo, California. His speaking date will be announced.
Pastor Chet Lowe was born on September 1, 1970. At the age of seven, Pastor Lowe began his first ministry—a Vacation Bible School for the neighborhood children right in his parent’s garage. Having grown up in a Christian home, he watched and learned the foundational truths of practical Christianity from his mother and father, Ira and Pam Lowe. Pastor Lowe had two siblings: Susan and Matthew. Matthew died four years ago. He was a naval aviator and his plane went down. He was only 33 years old.
At thirteen, feeling God’s call on his life, Pastor Lowe joined a team of teenagers who traveled to South Korea to build a church. A year later, a new journey took him to Liberia in West Africa to build a schoolhouse. These trips solidified in his mind his desire to serve the Lord no matter the calling or the place. For a boy born on an island of Nassau, Bahamas, that is only 7x21 miles, he was ready to “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel.”
In 1994, Pastor Lowe married his wife, Andrea, and since then they have dedicated their lives for the sake of the Kingdom.
Pastor Lowe passion for God’s work led him to return to Liberia in 1995, with his wife and their four-month-old child, to minister to the Liberian nation in the middle of a civil war. For several years, he and his family worked diligently to bring peace to the hearts of men in the midst of such turmoil and strife. Threatened with war, ambush, disease and hunger, Pastor Lowe and his family were able to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and see the fruit of planting seventeen churches.
These churches co-labored with his desire to minister to the children who were fighting in the civil war. Thus, Pastor Lowe, working in conjunction with the local church, opened seven rehabilitation homes known as Joseph’s Brethren. These homes ministered to over 1,500 child soldiers (ages 5 – 18) by taking them out of combat, showing them the love of Christ through a well-structured, six-week ministry and placing them in foster homes until their biological families could be found.
Upon his return to the United States in 2000, Pastor Lowe joined the staff of his home church of 15 years, Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. He had the privilege to serve the Lord as the Adult Family pastor and oversee the Couple’s Ministry, Pre-Marital and Weddings, Biblical Counseling, Women’s Ministry, Free Indeed (a sin deliverance ministry), Singles, Parenting and the Foster Care Ministry.
In 2005, he pioneered a young adult discipleship ministry, which is still in operation and known as Patmos: Reality Discipleship. It has operated since then in several different locations such as Campo Mourao, Brazil; Nassau, Bahamas; and South Florida. Chet served at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale for 27 years and is now co-laboring with Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and Calvary Chapel South Bay in Southern California.
Pastor Lowe and his wife are blessed with several children: five through natural birth, three adopted Liberian children and many more sons in the faith. He realizes his family to be his greatest ministry as to “Whom much is given, much is required.” In the same way, he desires to know Christ better, which led him to complete his Masters Degree in Christian Counseling. It is his heartfelt desire to raise up the next generation for Jesus Christ. He believes his calling is to prepare the coming of the Lord by discipling a younger generation to be passionate for Jesus.
